A Snowball Summer
When you're sick of summer
And looking for some fun,
Rollup white sheets of paper;
Make a hundred, and you're done.
Tape each snowball so tightly
That it will not fall apart.
Draw one long line across the floor;
Two teams, and you can start.
Divide the balls, prepare to throw.
These rules you must abide:
Don't c ross the line until you're hit,
Then join the other side.
When all the kids are on one side,
You'll know that team has won.
But don't despair just start again,
For snowball summer fun.
Drama Earth
The Perfect Playwright
Set the stage
Millennia ago
For drama: Earth.
As Master of mechanics,
On the structure
Of a play
Used balance, conflict, crisis.
Then created the infinite climax
In Earth's brief boards;
Approximately two-thirds through,
By sending his son.
At the apex of the whole affair:
Atonement
The rest is denouement.
Comfortable Cat

Curled serenely
On your concrete bed.
Never noticing that
Not all creatures
Were created to
Cruise through life
So contentedly.
So quietly.
