Valiant, Faithful Mothers

About the Song
Lyrics
Created for a Mother's Day program to be sung by the young men and women. It recounts the story of the two thousand striping warriors we read about in Alma 56:48 of the Book of Mormon.
Two thousand stripling warriors
Speak as from the dust.
They rehearsed the story
That taught them perfect trust.
"The Lord will deliver you!"
This truth their mothers taught.
I was born in latter-days
A mission to fulfill.
I've come to share the gospel,
I'll do my Father's will.
"The Lord will deliver me!"
This truth my mother taught.
Valiant, faithful mothers
Thanks our voices raise.
The Lord needs righteous
Mothers in ev'ry day and age.
By keeping the commandment,
With faith I'll doubt not!
I'll go forth in courage.
I'll live the way she's taught.
The Lord will deliver me.
This truth my mother taught.
Valiant, faithful mothers
In thanks our voices raise.
The Lord needs righteous mothers
In ev'ry day and age.
I will listen and obey.
I'll show her I've learned what she taught.
Valiant, faithful mothers
In thanks our voices raise.
The Lord needs righteoug women
In every day and age.
